Makeover & PhotoShoot Transformations

I was doing makeup at a fashion show where I first encountered Pazit Perez.  She was a photographer, who was shooting the models as they were being dressed and made-up for the Heels & Heart Fashion Show. In she walks, with her heels, snazzy chic style and big curly hair, camera in hand and asked me why I was here in Montreal. In that moment we connected! Since then we have created and developed some great projects, and we LURVE doing makeover photoshoots. In fact, our sessions have been dubbed Photo Therapy!  Over the past 3 years we have worked with so many inspirational clients, from male actors to spiritual energy healers.  Each person has a story to share and we work to create a unique photo experience, styling and accessorising them (kinda like playing dress-up), pushing their hair and makeup limits, and bringing out their 'wild side.'  Pazit's truly custom blend of filters and her creative license of the post production makes for some show-stopping art photo pieces!  I know that all of our clients have been left thinking....."JEEZ......I REALLY can look like that!" We tease out that alter-ego and shoot it!

How varied is my job is as a MAKEUP ARTIST!

After I first moved to Montreal in 2011, I had to rebuild a lot of my contacts and during this time I met Robin Westfield.  He wanted to develop his portfolio and I needed to completely re-haul mine so we partnered up! We worked on numerous projects together, mostly creative editorial concepts although we also dabbled in a few other projects as well. This one, entitled "SORRA", was for an exhibition, or as they say in Quebec, a Vernissage, which was held at a cute and vibing bar in town. We asked model- turned- fashion- designer, Naomie (NamNam) to be the muse for the collection of photographs, which were then printed and displayed to be sold.  Naturally the shoot was relaxed and cool, - Naomie was fantastic and result is a collection of gorgeous, beautifully natural, subtly seductive artwork.

I love that my skill can be used in artwork, and how amazing that someone has these pieces hanging in their house somewhere...... (And they can't wash off the makeup)!

Behind the Scenes on a Commercial Shoot

So recently I have decided to collate more of my work, and as usual, I find that I have done lots more than I initially realised I had. So in true creative random style I figured it belonged in my blog! As a result, I have found a little gem of a piece in a BTS video that I did almost a year ago. This is taken from a shoot I was on for Alison Sheri & Elena Wang for their A/W 2014 collection catalog and editorial campaigns. They are super long shooting days with a great team and wonderful & beautiful models (which always makes hair and makeup look good)!

Launching MUST-SEE Makeup Videos →

Hello Beauties!

So its been a few months now that I've started to film and release makeup videos. Yes, I know, everybody is doing it now but I figured that there are very limited informative videos by professional MUA's so why not add my 2 cents to the party? So, here it is, and I would LOVE, LOVE, LURVE if you checked it out. Video subject content is all about makeup, featuring my professional tips and reviews.
